This policy describes how jongjong, a private couple app by jong studio, handles information in the current product.

About this policy
jongjong is meant to be a private space for two connected partners. It does not provide a public social feed, follower graph, or public profile directory.
This page is written from the current app and backend implementation. It distinguishes three kinds of disclosure:
Your connected partner — the other person in your mutually linked couple space.
Infrastructure providers — companies that host or deliver the service (for example authentication, database, storage, push, or live camera sessions).
Public disclosure — posting to the open internet. jongjong does not operate a public gallery of couple content.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use jongjong, the app may process the following.
Account and authentication
Email address, when provided by you or by a sign-in provider.
Account identifiers, including the user ID created by our authentication provider.
Sign-in provider (for example Apple, Google, or email) and session tokens needed to keep you signed in.
Password is handled by the authentication provider when you use email sign-in; jongjong does not store passwords in app storage.
Profile and couple relationship
Display name, optional partner nickname, optional profile photo, optional birthday, language preferences, and timezone.
Couple / relationship identifiers, invite codes, relationship type, and optional dates such as relationship start or next meeting.
Whether the two of you are currently linked in a couple space.
Content you create
Today moments: photos, drawings, captions, and partner comments or reactions.
Chat messages and related translation metadata stored with a message when that feature is used.
Memories (photos, notes, and related fields).
Letters, including special letters and For You love notes, and any attached images.
Couple Play content: game state, answers, custom questions, custom cards, secret missions, and related events.
Feedback you send from Help, including the message, category, and contact email on the account.
Our Room, pets, and play objects
Room layout, furniture, text objects, photo frames, skins, and play objects.
Uploaded cutouts and room photos stored as files.
Pet species, placement, and progress / XP-related events.
Device, notifications, and location
Push notification tokens and platform (iOS / Android) so partner events can be delivered.
Approximate location coordinates, only if you opt into couple-distance sharing and grant When In Use location permission. The app requests a current position for that feature; it does not register a background location tracker.
Local on-device preferences (for example widget or room UI state) stored on the device.
Camera and photo-library access when you capture, pick, or save images. Permission itself is managed by the operating system; images you choose are uploaded as described below.
Diagnostics
The current shipping app does not include a third-party analytics SDK or crash-reporting SDK. Development builds may print diagnostic logs locally. We do not describe a production analytics pipeline here because one is not wired in the current codebase.
2. How We Use Information
We use this information to:
Create and maintain your account and session.
Connect two people who choose each other and keep their content in that couple space.
Show moments, chat, letters, drawings, memories, room, pets, and games to the two linked partners.
Send push notifications about partner activity you have enabled, such as a new moment or letter.
Show optional approximate distance between partners who both use that feature.
Operate Couple Booth camera sessions, including the web booth hosted on this site.
Receive product feedback and try to fix problems you report.
Enforce access rules so one couple’s content is not treated as another couple’s content.
Premium or campaign flags may exist on an account. The current mobile app does not ship an in-app purchase SDK; this policy does not describe a public App Store subscription checkout that is not present in the current client.
3. Information Shared With Your Partner
After a mutual couple connection, the other person in that space can generally see couple-scoped content, including:
Profile fields used in the product (such as display name, nickname, photo, timezone, and birthday when you saved them).
Today moments, comments, chat, memories, letters, drawings, room contents, pet state, and couple-game content.
That you are connected, and activity needed for shared features (for example whose turn it is, or that a letter is waiting).
Some items stay hidden until a product rule reveals them — for example a Question Jar prompt that has not been drawn yet, a letter before it is opened, or spicy Couple Play prompts until both partners opt in.
Your partner is not the public. Content in the couple space is still processed by the infrastructure listed in section 6 so the two of you can use the app.
If you export a Room image, booth strip, or similar file through the iOS share sheet, that sharing is done by you on the device. jongjong does not post that export to a public feed.
4. Photos, Drawings, Letters and User Content
Photos and other files are stored in private storage buckets used by the app (including memories, daily moments, letters, room / cutout assets, and Couple Booth). Access is intended for authenticated members of the relevant couple space, not for anonymous public browsing.
Drawings are stored as shared boards and strokes for the couple. Letters and For You notes are stored as couple-scoped records, sometimes with images.
Couple Booth can include a short live camera session. A couple may also create a guest link so another person can join that booth session with a secret token. A guest link is not a public listing; anyone who has the link may be able to join that session until it expires or is revoked.
You should only upload content you have the right to share with your partner. Do not use jongjong to store or send content that is illegal or that you are not allowed to share.
5. Couple Pets and Room Data
Our Room stores the layout and objects you place, including furniture, text, photos, cutouts, mailbox, and Couple Play objects. Pet companions and their progress are stored with the couple so both partners see the same room.
Cutouts and room photos you upload are stored as files associated with that couple. They are used to render the room for the two of you, not as a public furniture catalog of user photos.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
jongjong uses other companies to run the product. They process information as needed to provide those services:
Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, realtime updates, and edge functions. This is the primary backend.
Apple and Google — if you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider authenticates you and may share an email or identity token according to your settings with them (including Apple’s Hide My Email).
Expo push delivery — device push tokens and notification payloads used to deliver alerts.
LiveKit — realtime video session media and tokens for Couple Booth.
Vercel — hosts this website, including Couple Booth web pages and these support / legal pages.
Those providers process data to operate jongjong. That is different from posting your couple content publicly, and different from showing it to your partner inside the app.
The current app does not include advertising SDKs, ATT / IDFA tracking, or a third-party crash analytics product.
7. Data Retention
We keep account and couple content while the account and couple space exist so the product can work. This policy does not state a fixed auto-delete schedule for inactive accounts, because the current implementation does not document one.
Some features support in-app removal of a specific item (for example deleting a moment you authored). Local device data such as a pending notification deep link can remain on that device until cleared by the app or by uninstalling.
8. Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion in the app:
Us → Help, feedback & privacy → permanently delete account.
When deletion completes, jongjong closes the shared couple space if you are connected, unlinks the other person, removes couple-scoped database records that cascade from that space, and deletes your authentication account. The remaining partner can form a new connection afterward.
Deletion cannot be undone. This page does not claim that every stored file is erased on a guaranteed timetable; file cleanup depends on how storage objects are processed after the couple records are removed.
9. Security
jongjong uses HTTPS for the public website and authenticated access for couple content. Couple data is intended to be scoped to members of that couple through server access rules.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You should protect your device passcode and sign-in, and only share invite codes with the person you mean to connect.
10. Children's Privacy
jongjong is a couple product for people in a relationship. It is not directed at children under 13.
Some Couple Play content is marked spicy and is shown only after both connected partners confirm they are adults and opt in. That gate is not a general age-verification system for creating an account.
If you believe a child has created an account, use the contact methods in section 12.
11. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Where the product itself changes what is collected, this page should be updated to match.
